Herbert Hoover in Warsaw

(Original Caption) Herbert Hoover (left) looks at a well protected gun slit in the "Ghetto Wall" of Warsaw. From the safety of the slits, Nazis would blast at defenseless Jews with machine guns. With Mr. Hoover are Arthur Bliss Lane (right), U.S. Ambassador to Poland, and Dr. D.A. Fitzgerald, Under Secretary of Agriculture. Mr. Hoover made a thorough tour of Warsaw in connection with his study of Europe's food problems.
