Firefighters continue to pour foam onto

Hemel Hempstead, United Kingdom: Firefighters continue to pour foam onto oil storage containers at the Buncefield oil depot in Hemel Hempstead, on the outskirts of London, 13 December 2005. The blaze began following a series of explosions shortly after 0600GMT on Sunday morning, injuring 42 people, two seriously. Hertfordshire Police Assistant Chief Constable Robert Beckley said there was "real optimism" that the inferno would be extinguished during the day, with some in the fire service confident it would be over before this afternoon.
