Anti-Nazi War Prisoners Working in Victory Garden

(Original Caption) A group of Anti-Nazi war prisoners work among the vegetables grown in the victory garden maintained in the internment area on Angel Island under the command of Fort MacDowell. Both Japs and Germans, but no Italians, are kept at the temporary camp only as long as is necessary to gather a sufficient number for transfer to permanent prison camps. The German prisoners are divided into Pro-Nazis and Anti-Nazis, who seemed very much relieved at being captured.
