French Navy divers read a briefing note upon their arrival at Sharm el-Sheikh airport 05 January 2004. French experts taking part in the search for a crashed Egyptian charter plane got Egyptian approval to deploy divers, a submarine robot and a patrol plane, French officials said. A team of 16 divers wearing green military fatigues arrived at the main commercial port in the Red Sea resort following a truck full of sophisticated equipment, including the robot, an AFP reporter said. The Flash Airlines charter plane crashed off the coast of Sharm el-Sheikh at the weekend, killing all 148 people on board, most of them French tourists.
