LOMITA - 07/08/2010 - (Scott Varley/Daily Breeze) Donated food was given to about 300 school children Thursday at Lomita's Calvary Assembly of God church. Through corporate donors such as Toyota Financial Services and South Bay Health Care Partners, volunteers help distribute the food staples to the children who, during the school year, are part of the school lunch program. Volunteer Diane Siegel gathers a jar each of peanut butter and jelly for each child to take home.
