Dining in style.. retiring dinner lady Mrs Edna Maloney gets the VIP treatment during her last lunch hour at Berry Brow Infant's and Nursery School. Pupil Sarah Bedford donned Mrs Maloney's apron and cap to give her a taste of life on the other side of the serving hatch. It was a day of celebration for Mrs Maloney, of Lepton, who also celebrated her 65th birthday with a special disco party at the school. The children presented her with a water-colour painting of Castle Hill and a bouquet of flowers. She also received a ceramic jardiniere from staff and friends. 27th May 1988.
