BOSTON - AUGUST 8: Boston Mayor Tom Menino names Square after Muslim Public Servant on Muslim Holiday. Boston. Members of the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center (ISBCC) and Mayor Menino will joined the community at the ISBCC to name the square at Elmwood St. & Malcolm X Blvd in front of the center after a respected, 32-year-old public servant of the city of Boston, Muhammad Ali-Salam. As Deputy Director of Special Projects at the Boston Redevelopment Authority, he contributed to zoning policies and redevelopment across Boston and facilitated community input in neighborhood development.
