Belgian Prime Minister, Guy Verhofstadt, second left, Minister for Transport, Isabelle Durant (L), Minister of Finance, Didier Reynders (2nd R), and Minister for Social Affairs, Frank Vandenbroucke (R), held a joint press conference in Brussels, 14 September 2000 to announce they reached an agreement with the road hauliers trade union representatives. After the agreement, all truck driver's organisations have announced they would cease road obstruction in Belgium by midnight.
