The boyhood of Peter Paul Rubens - stock illustration
The famous artist Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640) was born in Siegen in Germany, moving with his family to Antwerp, then in the Duchy of Brabant, where he spent much of his life and was eventually buried. As well as being the most influential artist of the Flemish Baroque style he was also a noted diplomat From “Cottager and Artisan” for 1872, published in London by the Religious Tract Society.
