Ribblehead Viaduct, Yorkshire Dales National Park - stock photo
Ribblehead Viaduct, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, is the longest on the Settle to Carlisle Railway Line. The first stone was laid on 12 October 1870 and the last in 1874, at the time it was known as the Batty Moss Viaduct. Here two ramblers or hikers are pictured walking towards Whernside, on of the famous Three Peaks of the Yorkshire Dales, under moody and stormy skies
