Man climbs tall forest tree using a liana rope - stock photo
Seen from the forest canopy, a honey gatherer climbs a huge tree trunk using a length of liana as a harness. The smoke is coming from a pile of burning leaves on the ground intended to pacify the bees. The Bayaka, also known as Aka tribe are a nomadic Mbenga pygmy hunter gatherer tribe found in the south western jungles of The Central African Republic.
