Caption: F366154 01: The Rawlings Sporting Goods Company in Fenton, Missouri unveiled the newly redesigned baseball for the millennium, March 16, 2000. Beginning with the silver stamped millennium ball used for Opening Day in all the major league stadiums, and continuing through the 2000 season with a blue stamped version, these baseballs will possess features beyond the color stamping. For the first time, the ball will utilize the Major League Baseball silhouetted batter icon and the signature of the commissioner, Allen H. 'Bud' Selig.
