Pro-Israeli And Pro-Palestinian Activists Hold Dueling Rallies In Chicago

CHICAGO, IL - JULY 28: A pro-Palestine supporter (L) argues with a pro-Israel supporter (R) on July 28, 2014 in Chicago, Illinois. A large pro-Israel rally nearby was met by about 100 pro-Palestine protestors who staged a counter-demonstration across the street from the rally. A heavy police presence kept the two groups separate and civil. The two men were arguing because the pro-Palestine supporter was angry that the pro-Israel supporter was on his side of the street while wearing an Israeli flag in his jacket pocket. More than 1,000 people have been killed in Gaza, most of them civilians, and about 51 have been killed from Israel, most of them soldiers, during the past three weeks of fighting.
