The satellites, a Canopus-B, a BKA, a MKA-PN1, a German TET-1 and an ASD-1B, will test new space technology, collect ocean and climate data and form part of a ship-identification system, according to reports. Reports say the Soyuz-FG launch vehicle deployed the satellites nine minutes into the mission. (Photo DigitalGlobe via Getty Images)
