LONGMEN GROTTOES, LUOYANG, HENAN, CHINA - 2014/09/22: Feng Xian Si, or Li Zhi cave is the largest of all caves carved on the west hill built between 672 and 676 of the Tang dynasty. The shrine inside the cave has the largest Buddha statue at the Longmen Grottoes. Longmen Grottoes comprises more than 2,300 caves and niches carved into the steep limestone cliffs over a 1km long stretch, containing the largest and most impressive collection of Chinese art of the late Northern Wei and Tang Dynasties (316-907). These works, entirely devoted to the Buddhist religion, represent the high point of Chinese stone carving. In 2000 the site was inscribed upon the UNESCO World Heritage List.
