Critics Of Police Tactics Begin March From New York To Washington DC
NEW YORK, NY - APRIL 13: A crowd sets off on the March 2 Justice April 13, 2015 in the Staten Island borough of New York City. About 50 marchers, with more expected to join along the route, walked across the Outerbridge Crossing and headed into New Jersey on a 250-mile journey to Washington, DC to support an end of racial profiling and police brutality. Following the death of Eric Garner while in custody of NYPD officers, Staten Island has become one of the nation's focal points for protests against police brutality. Organizers of the march hope to highlight individuals police brutality cases and pressure police departments across the U.S. to initiate changes in how police confront private citizens.
