Inauguration Of NATO Excellence Centre For Security Force Assistance

ROME, ITALY - MARCH 26: Opening ceremony of the NATO Centre of Excellence for Security Force Assistance (NATO SFA COE) at the Cesano headquarters in Rome, in the area of the Italian Army Infantry School on March 26, 2019 in Rome, Italy. The NATO SFA COE, which sees Italy, Slovenia and Albania as Sponsoring Nations, is a project born in 2016 on the proposal of the Italian Ministry of Defence with the aim of creating a reference hub dedicated to promoting the efforts of the Alliance for stabilization and reconstruction in any crisis scenario. The task is to contribute to the development and testing of concepts, doctrines, lessons learned in operating theaters and to the standardization of capabilities within the Alliance in the SFA sector within the framework of training and education activities in favor of Local Security Forces guided to create and develop sustainable capabilities over time.
