Kosovo Albanians pay tribute to their relatives during the 14th anniversary of Recak massacre on January 15, 2013. In 1999, forty-five Albanian civilians were killed by Serb forces, in the village of Recak. The massacre, one of the bloodiest that occurred in the Kosovo crisis, led to massive international pressure on Serbia to stop their ethnically motivated killings of civilian Albanians and to a NATO led air campaign that ousted Serbian security forces from Kosovo.
